Our app for iPhone and Android users provides members with the ability to bank on the go.

Getting started is easy! If you are registered for Online Banking, simply download the app and sign in with your Member Number and Online Banking password. You'll then be prompted to create a 4-digit app PIN.

To utilise Defence Bank app you will need to have an Android device running Android 5.0 software or later or an iOS (Apple) device running iOS10.3 or later

What's new in our latest update?

Defence Bank has released its latest app update which includes a host of exciting new features designed to make mobile banking easier for our members anytime, any day, anywhere.

NEW features include:

  • Quick Balance. Save time and view the balance of a nominated account, without having to log on to the Defence Bank app. This is an optional feature which you can turn off and on.
  • Overseas Travel Planner. Log your overseas travel plans through the Defence Bank app and request to be contacted by a Defence Bank consultant regarding overseas money, cashpassport and travel insurance. 
  • Send Money Overseas. Members can now easily send money to overseas accounts through the Overseas Travel Planner within their app. 
  • Card Alerts. As an added security feature, you can now set up transaction alerts on a nominated card via your app notifying you whenever your account has been credited or debited. This is an optional feature which you can turn off and on.
  • eStatements. Now you can search and view your eStatements using your app.
  • Update Address and Contact details. Members can now update their address and contact details through their app without having to visit a branch or call our Contact Centre.
  • Transaction Limits. Lower your transaction limit for internal transfers, external transfers and bill payments by simply selecting Settings/ Transaction Limits within the app. Members will need to visit a branch or call our Contact Centre should they wish to increase their transaction limit.
  • Insurance and Product pages. Introduction of quick links to Defence Banks Insurance and Product pages found under the Settings menu.
  • Timeout Settings. Now you can adjust the amount of time before the app logs you out after inactivity. This feature is set to 4 minutes by default and Members can always log out before this time using the Log Out button.
  • Loan Features. Selecting your loan will display further information about the product such as payment amounts and due dates.
  • Plus additional quality of life enhancements and bug fixes.

How to upgrade?

Android users: Visit your Google Play account, check for app updates and follow the prompts to update.

iOS users: Please download and install the app as the App Store is treating this upgrade a new app. Search for “Defence Bank Mobile” in the App Store and follow the prompts to download. The previous version of the app is no longer supported via the App Store so please ensure that you’ve downloaded the new app to maintain access.
